Competition Laws

‘The Firm ensures compliance of regulatory obligations and provides solutions to complex issues concerning the competition laws of the country. We design and deliver compliance training programs, hold informative seminars, and provide updates on regulatory issues that have the potential to affect our clients’ businesses and profitability.

Employment/Labor law

The Firm has represented numerous clients in matters concerning employee relations and trade unions. Specifically, the Firm has argued and successfully defended promotion matters for individuals as well as corporate clients.

Media Laws

The Firm has extensively argued and contested matters before the High Courts and quasi-judicial forums pertaining to media laws, including the scope of powers of the regulator, ambit of legitimate limits on freedoms of expression and speech and issues concerning cancellation of licenses etc.

Real estate

We provide all relevant information concerning the procedures to be fulfilled and terms to be met, in order for the immovable property owners to gain title of the property, and to dispose it freely and in accordance with the mandate of the law. We have extensive experience in advising clients on real estate assets pledged as securities in financial transactions and also deal with duc diligence matters involving land acquisition.

Consumer Laws

The Firm has represented several clients in matters concerning the rights of consumers as well as fair trade, competition, and accurate information in the market.

Civil law

The Firm actively handles civil disputes including trial, appeals and revisions involving issues of acquisition or protection of property, co ownership, contractual obligations, inheritance, drafting of contracts, and issues emanating from other legal instruments. We also handle family law disputes and provide tailored legal services for special client needs in the resolution of their civil disputes before all forums.

Criminal law

The Firm has dedicated resources for litigation and dispute resolution in criminal law matters. Specifically, the Firm has conducted numerous murder trials as defense counsel, and has represented corporate clients in matters of fraud in commercial proceedings. Our team also has expertise in handling white collar crimes and has successfully represented multiple clients before the accountability courts.

Telecommunications law

The Firm has remained the sole legal counsel of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), for over four (04) years. The Firm is currently engaged by the National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) and Telephone Industries of Pakistan (TIP) amongst many others. In representation of these Clients, the Firm has handled a large number of contentious issues before different judicial forums. Furthermore, the Firm has actively assisted its clientele in different regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring smooth operations for these organizations.

The Firm, specifically, the Managing Partner has vast expertise in the nuances of telecommunications law and is proficient in understanding the primary and secondary legislation pertaining to telecom sector laws, rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Pro bono

We have an active pro bono litigation practice. The Firm has dedicated resources for providing pro bono legal services to cater to the legal needs of the underprivileged and o ur lawyers are encouraged to take on pro bono matters, with the full support of the Firm, in order to deliver the best of its legal services to the community.

The Firm provides partner supervision, training, and mentoring on all pro bono matters. Associates are encouraged to attend pro bono training classes and seminars held by our partner organizations. In addition, summer interns routinely participate in the Firm’s pro bono practice and may be assigned to any pro bono matter.
